Joining in with the Spirit

What is God’s mission? Is mission about who we are or what we do? What does the Holy Spirit do? How does He relate to the Spirit of Christ or God? Why is He “holy”? Why is mission “joining in with the Spirit”? What will help me want to “join in with the Spirit”?

What is our mission? What was the original task God gave us? What is going to happen to the earth and our daily work? Are some things sacred and some things secular? Is work a blessing or a curse? What is my calling and how do I know it?

Why is discipling others and sharing faith challenging? What is evangelism? Is every disciple an evangelist? How do I help if someone wants to become a Christian? Why does baptism matter? How do I make disciples? How do we share faith naturally with people of other faiths?

What does it mean to be a blessing and how is it helpful in mission? How do we receive the Holy Spirit in our lived experience? How can our life together be a form of blessing? How might we go to others? How might we grow together in the practice of hospitality? How might we work with other church communities to be a blessing?

In what ways is it helpful to think of God’s mission as a “battle”? How involved can Christians be in the world? Does God always get what He wants? If not, why not? Can faith affect prayer? How do we seek peace and justice in a Christlike way? Why is caring for the environment a mark of mission and why is it a battle?
